Good vip experiences fill up weeks ahead and the great ones go first. Below: the 15 to book early, what each includes and how they differ.
Walk Hoover Dam, tour its powerplant, enjoy lunch, and get hotel transport plus a comedy ticket on this practical Las Vegas day trip.
“Everything was included for a fun day, except gratuity - Host Trez was very funny and we even got free tickets to the LA comedy club at the Straz”
Review of MaxTour’s small-group Grand Canyon West day trip from Las Vegas, with Hoover Dam, Seven Magic Mountains, snacks, and Skywalk options.
“Very well designed trip that allowed a fun well paced day trip for my wife, daughter and self. There were beautiful photo opportunities. Our tour guide was Chad and he was top notched! He would take photos at every stop so we could have family pictures. He did professional level photos with our iPhones. This was worth so much because often you can’t get group pictures. The drinks and snacks were abundant and a nice variety of choices. The day was planned perfectly to avoid too long at any one place whether that was riding in the van or walking around. Chad was so personable and energetic. He made us…”
See the U.S. Capitol, DC monuments, Potomac River, and National Archives in one guided day with reserved entry and coach transport.
“Thorough tour of Washington DC. Guide was amazing. He gave us time to do bonus stop. Wx was awful but experience was great.”
Review of Oahu’s Ocean Joy snorkel cruise, with dolphin and whale watching, a Hawaiian buffet, drinks, gear, and Waikiki pickup.
“Great service! We got to see hump back whales, turtles, and of course, lots of fish! We have snorkeled many times, and it was the first time someone showed me how to put the mask on properly. Made a huge difference for me. Thank you!”
Fly from Las Vegas over Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Black Canyon, and the Grand Canyon West Rim in a six-seat Airbus AStar helicopter.
“The flight was incredible and our pulot was very knowlegable. There was some confusion about our pick up location , the actual tour/helicopter company had to straighten it out because Viator never responded to our inquiry request.”
Sail San Francisco Bay at sunset on a luxury catamaran, with Alcatraz, sea lions, Sausalito, and Golden Gate Bridge views.
“such a cool experience sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge on a Catamaran. I was thankful that they had coats for us to use as I underestimated the cold and wet while on the boat. Highly recommend to anyone that wants some good ole fun and beautiful sight seeing”
Review of a private 50-minute Central Park carriage ride, with landmark stops, blankets, horse treats, pricing, timing tips, and booking advice.
“I had an awful experience with Viator and would strongly caution anyone against booking through them. I booked a carriage ride back in November for December 26 at 4:20 PM. In mid-November, I received a random text message directly from the carriage driver (not Viator) asking if I could move the ride to 5:00 PM because the original time was no longer available. I agreed, assuming Viator would send an updated confirmation or ticket, as they did originally. They never did. On December 23, I received a “final confirmation” from Viator with a link to my tickets, which still clearly showed the original 4:20 PM time. Based on that official…”
Review of Maui’s private Road to Hana tour, with waterfalls, black sand beaches, local food, flexible stops, and door-to-door pickup.
“Our tour was with Donovan. He was great. Very knowledgeable about the area and its history. Nice pleasant relaxing day.”
Review of Bell Trans private Las Vegas airport limousine transfer, with pickup details, pricing, luggage rules, service risks, and booking advice.
“Robert was right on time, waiting for us at the luggage pickup. He escorted us out to the car—which was very nice and clean—and then took us to our hotel. It was a little pricey for a 10-minute trip plus tip, but I knew that upfront.”
Swim beside wild manatees in Crystal River on a heated six-person pontoon tour with gear, guides, drinks, and optional photos.
“Captain Melissa and James were wonderful guides. We got to see multiple manatees as well as learn about the colourful history of King's Bay! They were great with adults and kids and people with little snorkelling ability.”
See whales, dolphins, and sea lions from a comfortable 50-foot catamaran on this family-friendly Oceanside cruise.
“The trip was cancelled due to Hight surf so I really have nothing to review, but I appreciated the captains decision.”
Cruise New York Harbor aboard an all-glass dining vessel with a three-course meal, live music, skyline views, and Statue of Liberty sightings.
“It was on time and all involved were pleasant and helpful.”
Review of Maui’s small-group Road to Hana luxury tour, with waterfall swims, black sand beaches, meals, guides, costs, and practical tips.
“Booked wrong date by accident through viator and called tour company as soon as I realized the mistake and they wouldn't change the date because we were too close to cancelation date. They wouldn't even consider changing and wouldn't issue even a partial refund. Tour sounded wonderful and we were really looking forward to it but not easy to work with at all.”
Review the VIP New Orleans jazz dinner cruise with front-row music, Louisiana buffet, private boat tour, souvenirs, and open-bar upgrade.
“The VIP experience is worth every penny! Our concierge Marlon made the experience top tier and special. We took out photo and were escorted on the boat, handed champagne, and brought to reserved tables where we listened to the live band with a beautiful view. They served appetizers but unfortunately we don't eat shellfish and shrimp was the only option. Marlon did try to get us another option but there was none. The drinks from the bar were good and were brought to us by our concierge. When it was time for dinner, we were escorted down to the dining room where VIP guests ate with private access to the…”

“Brian was a fabulous tour guide. He is very familiar with the area and knows a lot about the history. He was also friendly, entertaining and accommodating. He even provided delicious snacks from local merchants. We highly recommend this tour!”
